Mary Elbech is the owner of and craftswoman behind Pappy van Fleur, a boutique paper flower workshop based in Hillsborough, NC.

Since all flowers are made by hand – from the hand-dyed tissue to the composition – it is guaranteed that every single one is unique. Available flowers range from single stems to full arrangements, carefully made by Mary. Styles range from intricate replications of real-world flowers to creative interpretations of flowers that look like they might belong in The Secret Garden, or Wonderland.

About the name Pappy van Fleur, Mary explains the following:

“The name is a nod to Dutch still-life artists. Their attention to detail and organic messiness that create not just an impressive painting, but also a palpable mood, are fascinating to me.”
